\u00a0As a University Lecturer,<\/strong> Bea faces serious professional challenges every day, not only in a Hungarian but also in an international environment. In this position, she often has to give presentations in English at conferences, speaking in front of hundreds of people, interpreting different accents, and responding to spontaneous questions. Beyond everyday communication, therefore she also had to perform in English on a professional level<\/strong> \u2013 this was the point when she consciously decided that she wanted to improve her language skills.<\/p>\n

Since her schedule is variable and she wanted her lessons to be tailored to her own goals and current challenges,<\/strong>only individual, personalized classes were an option. It was also important for her to learn in person with a qualified teacher,<\/strong>in a school environment that is both professional and flexible.<\/p>\n

She found all of this at IH Budapest \u2013 in fact, the learning experience exceeded her expectations. She shared the following with us:<\/p>\n

1. Why do you take individual (1:1) language lessons?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"In individual language lessons, all the attention is focused on me. During the lessons, I am forced to speak as much English as possible \u2013 there\u2019s no hiding behind others like in a group class, where I might hope someone else gets asked the question. Here, I have to understand every question and use the knowledge I already have. This is a real step out of my comfort zone \u2013 but it\u2019s exactly this way that true progress happens.\"<\/p>\n

2. Why did you choose IH Budapest?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"I searched for a suitable language school for a very long time. It was important to me to attend lessons in person, not online, and I definitely wanted a native-speaking teacher. The possibility of individual lessons and a personalized, flexible schedule was also essential due to my work and commitments. IH Budapest exceeded my expectations in every respect.\"<\/p>\n

3. What is your goal with learning? <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"In my work, I have reached a position where I regularly need to use English and often have to speak confidently in front of several hundred people. I also have to perform at European and international conferences: I need to understand questions \u2013 even with different accents \u2013 and know how to respond. My goal is to become more confident, expand my vocabulary, and improve my pronunciation, as it\u2019s helpful if people can understand me easily.\"<\/p>\n

4. What do you think about the course?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"The course exceeded all my expectations. Since then, I have attended several conferences, and my stress levels have decreased significantly \u2013 the language school played a big role in preparing me for these challenges. I have already worked with several teachers, as the school adapted extremely flexibly to my changing schedule and always made sure I didn\u2019t miss a single lesson. Every teacher is fantastic and always tailors the lesson to my current needs: if I am preparing for a conference presentation, we focus on that, and if I want to speak more confidently in everyday life, they help me with that.\"<\/p>\n

5. Why and who would you recommend IH Budapest to?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"I came with special needs, and I no longer belong to the younger age group. A big disadvantage for our generation is that we were exposed to English quite late, especially in a native-speaking environment. Today\u2019s young people are already global citizens and can acquire languages much earlier and more naturally \u2013 an advantage that cannot be caught up. I wholeheartedly recommend IH Budapest to those who want to improve their speaking skills, communicate more confidently in English, and value a flexible schedule and maximum attention.\"<\/p>\n
