We don't only run exams — we have been teaching since 1983, we train teachers, and since July 2026 we have been an official part of the Cambridge English international network.
We didn't become an exam centre overnight
International House Budapest has been part of language teaching in Hungary since 1983, teaching close to 15 languages. Since July 2026 we have operated as an official Cambridge English Exam Centre, in a direct contractual partnership with Cambridge University Press & Assessment — not through an intermediary.
Professional background
Our teachers have completed CELTA and DELTA training — training we deliver ourselves (teacher-training.hu), so we don't only run exams, we are part of international teacher training too.

We have a direct contractual relationship with Cambridge — which guarantees that every step of the exam follows the official, audited process.
Modern facilities for computer-based exams
Our own exam room with 35+ computers is at 1023 Budapest, Lajos utca 11-15., set up specifically to meet the technical requirements of Cambridge computer-based exams.

Applications confirmed in good time
We confirm exam applications at least 5 working days before the exam (this may differ for late applications).
Certificates sent out quickly
As soon as your certificate reaches us from Cambridge, we will notify you within 5 working days at most and post the certificate to you.
Simple registration, open for as long as possible
We design the application process so that registration stays open as long as possible and administration is never an obstacle.
Transparent pricing
We publish our exam fees and inform you as early as possible about any additional costs (late application, for example).

We handle your data and exam materials confidentially and securely.
